Paint Your Own Pottery Team

With a focus on friendly service, family connection, and hands-on support, our team is here to guide, encourage, and celebrate everyone who walks through our doors, whether they’re first-time painters or long-time regulars.

We also offer classes a few times a month as well as summer camps for kids, where they can try lots of different mediums of art, and hopefully fall in love with their own unique creativity!

Our mission is to provide a space that feels like home, where no question is too small, and every moment has the potential to become something special, and lasting. Its not just painting pottery, it's an experience, its core memories being made!

Our studio is perfectly set up with two-top tables, 4-top, a 6-top, and a party room that can fit 8-10 comfortably. We do walk-ins and reservations, meaning we’re flexible for your family to decide what creative fun you can get into!

Your Creativity, Our Skillset

The Hands to Art staff are well educated on the process of painting pottery, how it works, and most importantly how to help you be successful! We know all the tips and tricks to use to help you make your vision come to life.

Our goal is to make  every customer feel like a success when they leave our studio.  Part of that is turning mistakes into learning opportunities, or as Bob Ross used to refer to them “happy accidents.”

With the best staff around we are here to make this the best pottery painting experience you have ever had!

Our Secret?

We know why you're really here, we know it's not JUST to paint the cute mug.  You come to a studio like Hands to Art to bond with family and friends, to make memories, create traditions and to have a nice relaxing time, and our staff is here to help facilitate that through Paint Your Own Pottery.

Different from other art mediums, we utilize glaze for your Paint Your Own Pottery. Glaze is wonderful because it is one of the most forgiving mediums. Our staff are always happy to help fix things you don't like, even if that means we have to take something off to give you the opportunity to redo it.

We want you to be happy not only with the process but also the final results, so you’ll love your new pottery piece for years to come.

Table Reservations vs Walk-Ins for Pottery

We reserve half of our tables for walk-ins, and walk-ins are first-come-first-served. We recommend calling to make a reservation in advance if you know your dates. Each table has a 2 hour time slot (perfect timing for a piece!).

We take reservations up to 3 weeks in advance, unless you are booking a party or large group, in which case you may book even farther out.

4-5 days after painting when your piece is ready to come pick up! Please note: Pick up is by identification, the person picking up must be able to identify what piece is theirs. FAQs

What if I don’t finish painting my pottery in two hours?

While  our two hour time slots are typically enough time to finish most projects, if for any reason you don’t finish in that time frame you always have the option to either take your piece home to bring back later to work on again, take paints to go and finish at home then return to us for firing. Or we even offer the option of leaving your pottery with us for up to 60 days in our in-progress area!

When do I come pick up my pottery?

We dip all pieces in a clear glaze to smooth and coat any unpainted areas, then we add all pieces to our kiln for a final firing. This process typically takes 4-5 days. We will let you know when you check out what day they will be ready, simply come back when your piece is ready for pick up. We hold pieces approximately 8 weeks so if you can’t make it right away, don’t sweat it, just come when you can!
